Assistant Principal's Message

Hello, Suncrest Families!

I am Kaitlyn Ferguson, the new Assistant Principal for Suncrest Elementary!
I graduated from Purdue University, where I earned my bachelor's degree, majoring in psychology. I started my career in a school setting as a school-based case manager. In that role, I provided extra support to struggling students. That experience is what fueled my desire to dive deeper into education. I later graduated from Grand Canyon University, where I earned my Master's in Educational Administration. I spent five years teaching at the primary level before gaining experience in school leadership. I have a passion for education and serving others. This past year, I served as a dean of students at the primary level. The skills and experiences I obtained through that position are going to add so much value to Suncrest and the students and staff I will serve. I am beyond excited to be a Suncrest Eagle, and I know we are going to have a great school year!
